Dredge will now proceed
The long-needed Nanticoke River dredge is back on track, thanks to an infusion of $1.8 million in federal funds. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will restore the depth of a stretch of the river to its original 12-foot depth, which will in turn facilitate the passage of fully loaded barges carrying grain, fuel, rock and other materials.
