The mountain this resort is located on is 4000 feet above sea level, with a vertical drop of over 350 feet. This helps to make it such a thrilling ride, all the way down. Sapphire Valley Ski Area

Another popular North Carolina skiing resort is Sapphire Valley Ski Area. This ski resort is located in Sapphire, North Carolina and forms a portion of the 5,700 acre "four-seasons" resort. Sapphire Valley offers North Carolina skiing on two separate trails, which are both served by a brand new lift. There is also a multi-laned tubing hill, for those who prefer to tube.
